Janhvi Kapoor, daughter of the late Sri Devi Kapoor, made her acting debut in the North with “Dhadak”. Since then, the actress has played many interesting roles in “Good Luck Jerry”, “Gunjan Saxena” and “Mili” to name a few. The actress has come a long way and into her own as an actor. As her mother Sridevi was such a phenomenon in the south, audiences have been waiting for her debut in the South industry, and Janhvi Kapoor also seems to share their sentiments.
The actress has expressed her desire to work in the South film industry numerous times. Her dream came true with her role in ‘Devara’, a Telugu film starring Jr. Ntr and directed by Koratala Shiva, marking her Tollywood debut. And what a stellar team she is debuting with! Adding to her list of South Indian filmography, the actress is rumoured to be making her Tamil debut as well, even before the release of her first South film.
There is strong speculation that the actress is all set to star in a film directed by Vignesh Shivan ( known for his movies Naanum Rowdy Dhaan and Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal etc) opposite Love Today’s actor Pradeep Ranganathan, who has recently shot to fame post his debut films massive success! But what is truly the cherry on top of this project is the producer being Kamal Haasan under his banner ‘Raaj Kamal Films International’. The actor is apparently ready-to-go on producing the Vignesh directorial. This rumored team of actors and crew is promising and could result in a unique film! We’ll have to wait for the official announcement though, before we get too excited!
