Chunky Panday’s Ananya Panday made her Bollywood debut as Student of the Year 2 in 2019, directed by Punit Malhotra and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions Alongside Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria.
In a recent interview, Ananya recalled the early days of her career and shared what her priorities were back then. She highlighted how her priorities have altered and said that this year, her outlook on things has changed.
While giving an interview, the actress recalled a phase in her career when she would seek others’ validation, just like her father, Chunky Panday, whom she called a people pleaser.
The actress said, “I am exactly like him. When I started out, I was like, ‘Everyone has to love me’ and I couldn’t understand why everyone didn’t love me. It wasn’t coming from a space of thinking myself too be someone great but just that I am nice, I am a nice person, my friends and family like me, why doesn’t everyone?”
Further, she added that, now her perspective on things has changed, and her priorities have shifted.
Ananya Panday will next appear in the coming-of-age film Kho Gaye Hum Kahan alongside Chaturvedi and Adarsh Gourav. It is scheduled for release on Netflix on 26 December 2023.
