Featuring Urfi Javed and Swastika Mukherjee, along with cameos from Mouni Roy, Tusshar Kapoor, and Anu Malik, “LSD 2: Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2” delves into interlinked stories exploring themes of self-discovery, identity, and the complexities of relationships in the digital age. Despite its high expectations and buzz, the film has received mixed reviews from audiences and has struggled to make a significant impact at the box office, failing to even surpass the ₹50 lakhs mark in a single day thus far.

The opening day collection for Love Ses Aur Dhokha 2 box office amounted to ₹15 lakhs, but the numbers have been dwindling since then. The first Monday (day 4) witnessed an 80% drop in collections, with the film managing to earn only ₹8 lakhs. However, there was a slight stabilization on the first Tuesday (day 5), with the film once again earning ₹8 lakhs, bringing the overall collection to ₹81 lakhs. Given the current trend, it is projected that “LSD 2” will make around ₹70-80 lakhs on the first Wednesday (day 6), inching closer to the ₹90 lakhs mark.

Director Dibakar Banerjee shared insights about the film, cautioning viewers about its content. He emphasized that “LSD 2” is not suitable for underage audiences, as it explores themes relevant to teenagers and children. Banerjee advised adults to have conversations with their families before watching the film together. He also suggested that if communication within the family is challenging, viewers should opt to watch the film alone or with friends, partners, or colleagues. However, he urged everyone to exercise discretion while deciding whether to watch the film.

“LSD 2: Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2” finds itself in direct competition with the Vidya Balan and Pratik Gandhi starrer “Do Aur Do Pyaar.” The latter has already posed a tough challenge for Dibakar Banerjee’s directorial venture at the box office, further intensifying the competition in the film industry.
