Rakul Preet Singh, to be seen in the upcoming Tamil movie Ayalaan beside Yogi Babu in November 2023 is an actress that has done a lot of movies in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu across her career’s lifespan. Still in the game, she’s making headlines like nobody’s business. Before anything else, she was sending people out of this world hardly 3 days ago with her 50s and 60s IIFA performance.
On May 7th, 2023, her viral ice-water dip video had gone viral on Instagram, and mentioned that she tried cryotherapy – used to freeze or destroy abnormal tissues, in turn increasing immunity – in -15 degrees water. She went a full circle this month in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, replaying the instance in her head and revealing some interesting, hilarious details from the scene.
“I’m somebody who showers with hot water even in Mumbai summers. So about me, I was freaking out because it was freezing to be truthful.” She admits that she took the third attempt to finally go in with her full body. The first time, she dipped her toe and said, “Forget about it.” The second time, she went to her knees but her courage fueled out shortly after. Seven to eight of her friends were all done and she was the only one yet to take a dip. They said, “Rakul, you’re here, so you have to do it.” And she thought, “Everyone’s made a video, I better do this for the sake of that.” And the third time, she did. “It felt so good that I did it two more times later,” were her exact words.
Celebrities or not, we all – majorly females – can relate with Rakul about loving hot, cozy showers even if the sun out there is scorching. To go from 30 degrees to -15 in a location where it’s already freezing around you is indeed a thrilling challenge to take up every once in a while.
