OMG 2 is a sequel to the 2012 film Oh My God! (OMG) which featured Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and directed by Umesh Shukla.
OMG 2 earned 43.06 crores nett in India on the weekend opening. On Sunday, the movie had 80 percent occupancy over the day. Comparatively, OMG 2 had an excellent weekend collection. The day-wise growth through word of mouth earned a good amount on the release day.
On Sunday, the movie collected around 17.55 crores while on Saturday it earned 15.3 crores. The biz increase in numbers is said to be through audience word of mouth.
OMG, 2 features Pankaj Tripathi as a devotee of Lord Shiva named Kanti Sharan Mudgal. His character is seen fighting a legal war against the education system to seek justice for his son. Akshay is seen in the role of a messenger of God and Yami Gautam plays a lawyer.
