As world awaits ,PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate the temple, marking the culmination of an event likely to shape the electoral narrative in general elections later this year. Thousands of people, including many celebrities from the film, political, and sports worlds, arrived in Ayodhya on Sunday to prepare for the ceremony, as the temple town decorated its roads and pavements with flowers.
At 10 a.m., the majestic mangal dhwani will grace the prana pratishtha ceremony at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya, which is immersed in devotion. Witness over 50 exquisite instruments from various states come together for this auspicious occasion, resonating for nearly two hours,” stated the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, which is overseeing the temple’s construction.
The week-long rituals preceding the event included a variety of prayers offered by 121 priests who chanted Sanskrit hymns and performed Vedic rituals. The final leg of the consecration ceremony, presided over by Modi, will begin at 12.20pm on January 22 and conclude around 1pm. The Ram Temple’s sanctum sanctorum now houses a 51-inch stone idol created by renowned Karnataka sculptor Arun Yogiraj.
