Rajini says he requested to remove the superstar tag

Superstar Rajinikanth’s much-awaited film Jailer’s audio launch event took place yesterday at the Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai. Rajinikanth and the film cast, and crew graced this event. The interesting thing is that in this audio launch, Rajini gave an intensive and lengthy speech.

Beginning his speech by recounting his first meeting with the movie’s director, Nelson Dilipkumar, Rajini spoke a lot. Rajini said that he had initially planned to meet the director at 10:00 AM, but knowing about Nelson’s habit of waking up late, he rescheduled his meeting with the director to 11:30 AM. He added that finally, Nelson managed to arrive only around noon. Despite this, Rajini said Nelson humorously asked for a cup of good coffee without any hesitation.

Rajinikanth said that after “Annaatthe,” he grew tired of listening to scripts that are the same as “Baasha”.

During the event, Rajinikanth also requested the removal of the word ‘Superstar’ from the lyrics of a song in the film. He said that the ‘Superstar’ tag has been an ongoing issue for him and clarified that he had asked for its removal long ago.
