Manish Malhotra was born on 5 December 1966 and is an Indian fashion designer, couturier, costume stylist, entrepreneur, filmmaker, and revivalist based in Mumbai, India. The founder of the eponymous label, Manish Malhotra, has been deeply entrenched in the twin worlds of fashion and film for the past three decades. He has styled and designed for more than thousands of movies and won numerous awards. He is known for redefining and modernizing how actors look in Indian films and reviving some of the country’s forgotten crafts.
While the show will be held at Etihad Arena Yas Island Waterfront in Abu Dhabi and will play host to the 23rd edition of the International Indian Film Academy and Awards (IIFA). The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) and Miral, Abu Dhabi’s top curator of immersive locations and experiences, will host it on May 26 and 27, 2023. For the seventh season in a row, NEXA will continue to serve as the title sponsor.
1The show’s prime focus will be on the brand’s essence, to ‘create’ and ‘inspire’. This year, Manish Malhotra will awe and impress with his special brand of larger-than-life glamour at the eagerly-awaited fashion extravaganza and will be facilitated with a special IIFA honour for Outstanding Achievement for Fashion in Cinema to celebrate his globally acclaimed presence in the business of fashion and films. Vicky Kaushal and Abhishek Bachchan will host the Awards, with live performances by some of Bollywood’s biggest stars, including Salman Khan, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nora Fatehi, and Rakul Preet Singh.
