Gadar 2 crosses 200 crores
Gadar 2 is set to break a bunch of box office records starting from its release. It’s only been five days since the movie opened theatrically and created the history of breaking box office records within a week after Pathaan and The Kerala Story this year.
Sunny Deol’s comeback film stormed the Indian Box Office even on its fifth day with a staggering 55.50 crores with a total of Gadar 2 now standing at 229.08 crore. The film also created an all-time record, the sequel scored the biggest-ever collection for an Indian film on Independence Day.
Gadar 2 clashed with OMG 2 featuring Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam. The fact film broke record after clashing with one of the star cast movie opening on August 11 worldwide. Gadar 2 even faced capacity issues on August 15, given national holiday demand for the screening is more that OMG2 has taken away a substantial number of screens, and shows.
Gadar 2 is a sequel to the blockbuster film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha which was released in 2001. The film continues to narrate the story of Tara Singh and Sakeena’s son. The sequel is directed by Anil Sharma starring Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma as the main leads. The movie released on August 11 is available at theatres near you.
