On May 9, it was announced that the next single off the movie’s official soundtrack is called “Angel Pt. 1,” and it features a lineup of musical artists from all different corners of the music industry: NLE Choppa, Kodak Black, BTS’s Jimin, Jvke, and Muni Long.
The song was released on May 18 along with its music video, which featured clips from “Fast X” interwoven with the featured artists executing their verses passionately.
It ranked number 22 on Spotify’s weekly chart on week 22 and came out ahead of the pack with 463,389 plays. BTS Jimin’s Angel Pt. 1 peaked at No. 8 on the Spotify Korea daily chart on June 8.
On June 10, The Fast Saga Twitter announced that Angel Pt 2 will be coming soon and also with the reappearance of BTS’ Jimin, JVKE, and Muni along with two other artists that will be joining. Although they haven’t yet revealed the name but it could be Charlie Puth and Ludacris because the hint was ‘There’s always room for family’.
