The show’s official Instagram page revealed a photo of the cast on January 8, 2024, announcing that the fifth season’s production had officially started. Based on the picture that was released, it is clear that the majority of the original cast members—among them Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Gate Matarazzo, Sadie Sink, and Caleb McLaughlin—will be back for the final season. While the show’s devoted followers were thrilled to hear the news, some of them were let down.
