Sushmita Sen who embarked her come back journey since 2020 by selecting optimal scripts and mostly in OTT. Sushmita Sen appeared in TV series Aarya by Disney Hotstar as the lead. She also won Critic’c choice awards in 2021 for her performance in the series. Following up with the sequels of Aarya, she is now also doing another project continuing with OTT content.
Sushmita Sen has joined hands with the creative writer duo Arjun Singgh Baran and kartik D Nishandar for a project titled “Taali”. Series is about the transgender activist Gauri Sawant. Series depicts the biopic of Shree Gauri Sawant, driving us through her journey from her childhood to realization to transforming to becoming an activist. Netizens have also praised her first look from the series while the creative duo has praised the actress for her commitment towards the role and how she outdone herself in a particular scene where fiery activist whose Public Interest Litigation(PIL) led to supreme court hearing about recognizing transgender community as third gender in 2014.
Gauri Sawant also talking about the biopic said, she can’t imagine anyone else except Sushmita Sen for the role. Sushmita Sen took six months to prepare for the series and also took help of acting coach to live up to the role. This heart stealing biopic series to be released on Jio Cinema this week.
