Srimati Kumari starring Nitya Menen marks the actress’s OTT debut. The 7-episode series is available in various languages namely, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. The drama revolves around a 30-year-old lady reluctant to marry until she obtains the rights of her ancestral home her grandfather.
The drama is a family entertainer and encompasses themes like romance, comedy, drama, and breaking taboos, and the most important theme is that women are capable of doing anything from taking care of their family to running a bar and a restaurant. The drama describes Srimati’s fate entangled with bad luck, but it’s her zeal to overcome it that makes her acquainted with people who help her succeed in achieving her end goal.
Apart from being a pure entertainer, the series is a must-watch for its well-built characters and exhibited character development along with a well-written story. The screenplay is perfect as it brings together reality of peoples lives who reside in towns and rural areas.
The film stars Nitya Menon and is directed by Avasarala Srinivas who last appeared in Nootokka Jillala Andagadu. Kumari Srimati is live on Amazon Prime Video, the series was released on 28 September 2023.
