Srimati Kumari starring Nithya Menon marks Nithya Menon’s OTT debut. The teaser, which was released a few days ago, introduced Nitya Menon as Siri the leading lady of the movie. The story revolves around Siri a girl who resides in a rural area along with her parents, who is being picked on for not getting married. Siri a working woman is pissed off at the idea of having to answer her family and relatives constantly regarding her marriage.
The trailer is out and shows the struggles of a woman in a generalized society. Nithya plays the character of Srimathi, a girl who strives to get back her ancestral home of her grandfather. As a chance strikes she tries to make the most of it, Srimathi who earns 13,000 per month wonders how she can manage the money to get back her ancestral home. It is when she plans on starting an Alcohol store.
The film stars Nitya Menon and is directed by Avasarala Srinivas who last appeared in Nootokka Jillala Andagadu. Kumari Srimati is set to release on Amazon Prime Video on 28th August 2023 in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
