Netflix cancelled sci-fi “1899” after season 1..?

For the unversed, the giant OTT platform Netflix has unveiled the first trailer for 1899, the German mystery thriller period drama looks dark and foreboding.

This Netflix original series is from the creators of the German science fiction thriller Dark proven to be one of the finest original series to ever stream on Netflix.

On 24 October, Netflix posted the trailer on its official Twitter handle and shared the caption: “On their journey across the vast and treacherous Atlantic Ocean, the passengers of the Kerberos encounter the biggest mystery of their lives. Welcome to 1899, a deeply immersive new series from the creators of Dark.

Now the streaming platform comes with the latest update on this scientific thriller. Season 1 of this series premiered on November 17, 2022.

The drama features a large, multilingual ensemble cast including Emily Beecham, Aneurin Barnard, Andreas, and others.

The movie plot was set in the last of the 1800s, the series begins when a migrant steamship heads west to leave the old continent.

The show has already had a two-episode premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 14, 2022.

Unfortunately, the Netflix streaming platform suddenly called off this supernatural dark drama without going forward for season 2.
