Just within hours of release, the Rana Naidu series from Netflix, which features two top Telugu cinema stars, Rana Daggubati and Venkatesh Daggubati elicited strong reactions and calls for censorship on social media. Slurs, nudity, and language are all issues for many top review writers
This is the first time Venkatesh and Rana have acted together. So, while the Telugu audiences are desperate for the show, its over-the-top adult content left everyone in shock.
With this many are questioning how Daggubati’s family members agree to the film. As an answer, it is heard that Venkatesh is said to have received a whopping Rs 12 crore for his role in the series, while Rana received Rs 8 crore. This is a significant amount, considering that Venkatesh typically charges Rs 10 crore for a film.
However, Tollywood people who habituated Venkatesh movies as family watchable were in no way able to digest Rana Naidu. So, it obviously takes time for Venkatesh to adjust to his new role.
