Love in Taipei is a romantic drama directed by Arvin Chen and adapted from the book Loveboat by Abigail Hing Wen, Starring Ashley Liao and Ross Butler.
The film follows the journey of an American girl born in Ohio whose parents sent her tape to her to learn the culture and language of that pie, Taiwan. She is reluctant to know, but once she gets there, she finds summer feat as her parents have no supervision. She feels liberated and on a journey of self-discovering and romance.
The trailer seems wholesome, refreshing and entering with the drama, romance, music and performances. The film looks promising as it is a roller coaster ride of emotions. The film resembles a lot of the movie Crazy Rich Asians in terms of the direction, performances, Asian representation and production design. The film also represents a lot to XO Kitty as the same producers produced it. It is so far the best production design after Crazy Rich Asians.
Love in Taipei is a perfect blend of drama, romance, family values, music and screenplay. The film surely impacts audiences like Crazy Rich Asians did and the film can now be streamed on Paramount.
