The Good Doctor is an American medical drama television series based on the 2013 South Korean series of the same name. The series stars Freddie Highmore as Shaun Murphy, a young, autistic surgical resident at the fictional San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital. The story revolves around Shaun, an autistic doctor who faces many challenges in becoming a surgeon.
The series started on September 25, 2017, and six seasons have been streamed. In April 2023, the show’s makers announced its 7th season, which is set to premiere on February 20, 2024. It was later revealed to be the final season. The fans of the Good Doctor series were heartbroken by hearing the announcement. The series will be set to end on April 23, 2024. The shooting for the final season has also begun, and the show’s lead actors were overwhelmed to share a video clip of shooting on the sets.
Recently, Disney Television Group President Craig Erwich opened up about why The Good Doctor ends with season 7 and revealed if it has a proper finale. He said that the final batch of shooting for the series is being done, and he also added that this season will have a proper ending.
