Blood Free, an upcoming sci- fi K-drama debuted on Disney Plus Hotstar. The first two episodes are now streaming on Hotstar.

Disney original drama Blood Free is widely anticipated by both K-drama fans and audiences that enjoy an exciting sci-fi thriller.

The series takes place in a futuristic world where biotechnology company BF is putting an end to humanity’s centuries-long tradition of eating animal meat.

CEO Yoon Ja-Yoo is on a mission to develop lab-grown meat, but he faces opposition from numerous parties.

Star cast

Han Hyo-Joo, a popular actress, plays CEO Yoon Ja-Yoo. Blood Free features an all-star cast that includes Ju Ji-Hoon, Lee He-Joon, and Lee Moo-Saeng. The drama replaces the recently ended serial The Impossible Heir.

The futuristic premise, combined with power conflicts, opposition, and politics, promises to make “Blood Free” an entertaining watch.

According to several press reports, the korean series would include a total of 10 episodes. As of now, the episode schedule is uncertain.

However, if the streaming network sticks to its past timetables, fans can expect two episodes per week.

Korean drama plot

Drama is a future thriller Korean drama about the biotechnology business BF, created by CEO Yoon Ja-Yoo (Han Hyo-Joo).

BF Group dominates the genetically modified cultured meat business and manufactures lab-grown meat. Ja-Yoo’s objective is to end the food chain and prevent people from eating animal meat.

Meanwhile, as the corporation grows and controls the market, there is considerable criticism and scrutiny from both inside and outside.

Ja-Yoo founded BF alongside co-founder On-San (Lee Moo-Saeng), a long-time buddy with a PhD in physiology. As rivalry and unrest rise against the BF Group, Ja-Yoo receives death threats and deadly situations.

Eventually, she hires Woo Chae-Woon (Ju Ji-Hoon), a Naval Academy graduate, as her bodyguard. He does everything in his power to protect the CEO and the company while carrying out his duties and investigations.
