The latest outing Samantha starrer Yashoda became a huge hit in her career. Sam alone pulled audience to theatres with her acting. Released on Pan India Level, the medico spy thriller had break even at almost all the regions and even at some went into profits too. The film which released on November 11 of this month had break even in just 3 days of its release on overseas market.
This spy drama was helmed by the Hari- Harish duo. The director duo caught everyone’s attention by hinting at a sequel for the action thriller at the film’s success meet. They said, “We certainly have a plot idea for Yashoda 2 and Yashoda 3 as well. However, we can take a call on it only after Samantha’s response to the idea. We would want her to recover fully and narrate the idea when she’s hale and hearty. Even our producer is game for it. Varalaxmi will also have a role to play in Yashoda 2, if it happens.”
The film is turning out to be a surprise hit despite with the minimal promotions. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Kalpika Ganesh, Unni Mukundan, Madhurima, Rao Ramesh, Sampath Raj and Murali Sharma too played important roles in it.
