Yash Welcomes Kiara Advani to Kannada Cinema in ‘Toxic

Excitement is building as Yash’s upcoming film, Toxic, prepares to commence shooting this month. Directed by Geetu Mohandas and produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic promises to feature a star-studded cast.

Alongside Yash, reports suggest that Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko and Hindi actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui will also be part of the ensemble. The latest addition to the cast is Bollywood actor Kiara Advani, marking her entry into the Kannada film industry.

Known primarily for her work in Hindi cinema, Kiara has also ventured into Telugu films and is now set to make her Kannada debut with Toxic. Traditionally, actors from the Hindi film industry have explored opportunities in Telugu and Tamil cinema, but there’s a growing trend of them venturing into Kannada cinema as well.

Interestingly, Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor will play Yash’s sister in Toxic, marking her first South Indian film. The regular shoot for Toxic is scheduled to commence later this month in a village in Karnataka.

Toxic Release Date

Recently, the actor was spotted attending an event sporting a turban on his head. This appearance sparked discussions online, with many suggesting that the actor might be attempting to conceal his hairstyle for his upcoming film, Toxic.

Geetu Mohandas’ film Toxic is slated for release on April 10, 2025.Although there were rumors about Kareena Kapoor’s involvement in the project, recent updates suggest she has had to opt out due to scheduling conflicts.

Featuring Yash, Kiara Advani, and Kareena Kapoor as the main leads, Toxic is poised to be an eagerly anticipated film in multiple languages helmed by Malayalam veteran actress and director Geetu Mohandas.

Kareena, who recently starred in Crew and is currently filming for Singham Again, has left the project, leaving the makers to search for a replacement. On the technical side, Toxic will feature Jeremy Stack composing the music and Rajeev Ravi handling the cinematography.
