Getting out of the chocolate boy image, Tollywood young hero Ram Pothineni is doing back-to-back mass movies. Starting with the super hit film Ismart Shankar, he also continued the mass hero image with the movie Red. Now his following two projects, “The Warriorr’ and the other one going to be directed by Boyapati Sreenu, are also touted to be out and out mass films.
Interestingly, The Warriorr, being helmed by Tamil director Linguswamy, marks Ram’s Tamil debut as well. After occupying a prominent place in Tollywood, this young hero is now trying to get fame in Kollywood as well.
As this movie is all set to release on July 14th, The pre-release event of The Warriorr was held in Chennai yesterday. The great thing is that popular directors Mani Ratnam and Shankar attended this event as chief-guests.
Speaking his heart out, Ram at this event spoke fluently in Tamil and said “I have been waiting for my Tamil debut for the last fifteen years and it is great to be introduced by Lingusamy with a film like The Warrior “.
“I loved the police’s role in the movie and played it with utmost sincerity. More than 50 per cent of the credit for the movie’s solid buzz needs to be given to DSP for his hit music,” Ram added.
With Krithi Shetty playing the female lead in this film, we have to wait and see how this movie will work out for Ram in Kollywood.
