Getting elected to the Rajya Sabha is a very prestigious honour for anyone, and the Centre has nominated four people from South India for this honour. Music director Ilayaraja, Atlete PT Usha, Social activist Veerendra Hegde and writer/director Vijayendra Prasad. There has been some criticism regarding the selection of Vijayendra Prasad as there are many more accomplished writers and cine legends eligible for Raya Sabha. Leaving that aside and coming to Vijayendra Prasad, it should definitely be said that it is one of his biggest achievements in life. Surely, the writer is on cloud nine regarding this but the question that’s in cinephiles’ minds is that why didn’t any established stars wish VV Prasad?
The pan-India superstars like Prabhas, Ram Charan, and Ntr have all reached their current heights through SS Rajamouli’s movies which, in turn, have Vijayendra’s scripts. While all these stars share a very close bond with him, it’s puzzling that not any one of these has wished him on their social media accounts. NTR worked with Prasad in Student No1, Simhadri, Yamadonga and RRR. Ram Charan worked with him in Magadheera and RRR. Prabhas too shared three projects Chatrapathi, Baahubali 1 and Baahubali 2. Even the other stars like Ravi Teja, Nani, Sunil, and Nithin who all have worked with the ace writer didn’t respond or congratulate him. Is it because it is a political move, that they all are silent? It is interesting to note that Prasad’s son SS Rajamouli himself didn’t congratulate his dad publicly.
