Helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, ‘Vikram’ hit theatres worldwide on June 3rd. Starring three power-houses, Kamal Hassan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Fahadh Faasil, the film has been receiving great responses in all languages it has been released.
Interesting is that ‘Vikram’ is said to have some link with the director Lokesh’s previous action drama ‘Khaidi’. Director himself has also confirmed this and requested fans to revisit ‘Khaidi’ once before entering the ‘Vikram’ world.
Coming to the connection, in the ‘Khaidi’ movie, Police Bejoy (Narain) seizes Rs 900 crores worth of cocaine with the hero’s help (Karthi).
And during this process, Bejoy, in one of his phone conversations, asks his teammate Ajax about who the ghost is. In the climax, Adaikalam was revealed as the ghost, but, interestingly, he is not the real ghost. And this real ghost is revealed in Kamal Haasan’s ‘Vikram’.
Marking this connection, director Lokesh penned an open letter to the fans, requesting to watch Khaidi before watching Vikram. Many people did it, and those who are yet to watch the film do not forget to revisit Karthi’s sensational hit to understand Vikram.
