Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya, released on 13th January, has received a good response and posted good weekend numbers taking advantage of the Sankranthi holidays.
As per the latest update, Waltair Veerayya has earned 108 crores gross till yesterday. The entire collection is mostly from the Telugu version, as the Hindi dubbed version is contributing negligible numbers.
Theatrical rights of this film are valued at 88Crs, and the film has collected a share of 59Crs worldwide during its 1st-weekend run.
Besides this, the film is working well at the USA box office. There is a good chance that Waltair Veerayya may even cross Chiranjeevi’s past film Syeraa to become Chiranjeevi’s highest-grosser in the US. For the unversed, Syeraa collected around $ 2.6 million, while Waltair Veeraya is at $1.9 million now.
The massy action-drama is written and directed by Bobby Kolli, with Shruti Haasan and Catherine Tresa as the leading ladies. Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar and co-produced by G K Mohan under the banner, Mythri Movie Makers.
