Since time immemorial, Ulaganayagan Kamal Hassan’s fans have been waiting for a mega-blockbuster film, which happened with Vikram. Lokesh Kanagaraj’s directorial brought back the Kamal every cinephile wanted to see. With Nayagan’s roaring performance, Vikram is getting showered in both the collections and rave reviews. It’s safe to assume that the movie did bring Kamal’s career back on track. Now, this success is rejuvenating Kamal’s other projects too. Most notably, Bharateeyudu 2 AKA Indian 2.
Since the shoot of that Shankar directorial started, there were a lot of obstacles for the team. If that’s not enough, the misunderstandings between Lyca Productions and director Shankar also sprung up after spending a whopping Rs 150 Crores on the project. As a result, Kamal and Shankar moved on to their respective projects on different paths, and the movie is rumored to be halted altogether, similar to Kamal’s Marmayogi.
But seeing Vikram’s success now, Lyca and Shankar were said to have reconciled. After recognizing the stamina of Kamal, it’s being said that the producers have become confident of getting their investment back safely. As Shankar is currently busy with Ram Charans RC15, sources say that he will move on to Indian 2 as soon as this project completes. On the other hand, Kamal, too is said to be eager to finish Bharateeyudu.
