Fans of Vijay Sethupathi are eagerly waiting for his upcoming release, Merry Christmas. This film featuring VJ and Katrina Kaif is directed by Sriram Raghavan. The actor is currently promoting his upcoming film in Mumbai, where he spoke about his celebrated films.
Vijay Sethupathi, who is a definition of versatility and a talented acting prowess in Indian cinema, shared that he was very disappointed when he knew Gully Boy was sent to the Oscars instead. HE revealed that Super Deluxe is such a film that received many accolades from the audience, making him hopeful for the Oscar nominations.
Vijay Sethupathi shared, “We know that something happened. It’s not because I was in that film. Even if I were not in that film, I would’ve wanted that film to go there.” The actor also said he understood something happened in between and felt Oscar was not needed.
Vijay Sethupathi played the role of a transwoman in the Super Deluxe anthology. The actor also won a National Award for his great finesse in the film. While Gully Boy was nominated for Oscars, Super Deluxe won Best Movie Of The Year at the Critics Choice Film Awards and Best Actor Award at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne.
