Veteran actress Jamuna Garu no more ..

Senior actress Jamuna passed away. She breathed her last at her residence in Hyderabad. Jamuna is 86 years old. Jamuna was born on August 30, 1936, in Hampi. She has been suffering from health problems for the past few days. In this order, the condition worsened and she passed away. It was learned that her body was being moved to the film chamber at eleven o’clock in the morning.

We all know, Jamuna was a contemporary of Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao, Akkineni Nageswararao, and SV Rangarao. She left her mark in hundreds of films. Jamuna got good recognition with the movie Missamma. She acted and entertained in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada languages. In 1953, she made his debut with the movie Puttillu.

Tollywood expressed grief over Jamuna’s death. Many senior actors have condoled her death. Her services as an actress are remembered.

Jamuna has her hand in politics as well. She joined Congress in 1980 and was elected to the Lok Sabha from the Rajahmundry constituency in 1989. Jamuna has established Telugu Artist Association and has done social service through it for the last 25 years.
