Vanangaan: Suriya walks out of film !..

Kollywood director Bala has delivered quality films in Tamil cinema and has his own fans. Bala made his debut with Vikram’s Sethu, made the entire film industry look at him with his first film and also won the National Award for the film.

After that, he did films like Nanda, Pitamagan, Nan God, Awan Ivan and became a leading filmmaker in Tamil cinema industry. But, recently the films released under the direction of Bala did not get the expected success. Also, the problem with Bala’s film Varma, starring Vikram’s son Dhruv Vikram, made Bala nervous.

After much speculations on that Suriya’s Vanangaan has been put on hold, director Bala has now made an official statement in which he has written that Suriya has indeed walked out of the film.

The director said that he was supposed to do a movie titled Vanangaan with Suriya. But since certain changes were made to the script, he was apprehensive about the fact that whether the story would suit Suriya.

He also extends in the letter which is written in Tamil, that Suriya completely believed in me and the script. But it was harsh to walk out of the film and Suriya felt the same too. We will team up again for a new project. But the film Vanangaan will be continue its shoot with out Suriya.

Reportedly, Suriya was supposed to play the role of a fisherman in the film and also the unit erected huge set up too. The film has Krithi Shetty and Mamitha Baiju as female leads. After 18 long years, the duo Bala- Suriya teamed up again. But this sudden statement put fans in shock..
