Ustaad Ram Pothineni is planning his career very carefully and cleverly. As his next movie, The Warriorr, is gearing up for release on the silver screen, news about its distribution is out on social media. It is being said that the Ram has taken the Vizag distribution rights of the movie for himself. As the movie combines mass director Lingusamy and Ram, the rights are being sold at a hefty price. Distribution rights for AP are said to be Rs 18 Crores. In that ratio, Ram is said to have acquired the rights for Rs 4.32 Crores. Annapurna Saibabu will oversee the distribution duties. West Godavari rights are said to be in LVR’s hands. The sale of the remaining areas is still in the discussion phase, says the trade sources.
Vizag has become a mini overseas market for films. The class films are not doing any good at the remaining AP and Telangana centers but are getting good collections in Vizag. Recent releases Sarkaru Vari Pata and Ante Sundaraniki are good examples of this. Both these films have returned to break-even collections in Vizag. Traditionally, Ram’s films have done very well in Vizag, which must be the reason behind the star’s focus on Vizag rights. Krithi Shetty will be seen besides Ram in this Chitturi Srinu production.
