Actor Ram Charan and his wife Upasana Konidela announced their first pregnancy a few days back. Since then, fans of Ram Charan Tej, the mega power star, have been anticipating his impending parenthood with great interest. The couple, who got married in 2012, had spoken earlier about taking their own time to start a family.
However, as Upasana was seen actively participating in a lot of Oscar events and promotions and also as there was no pregnancy bump visible, there have been some rumors that Upasana will become a surrogate mother. There’s been a rise in surrogacy in recent times. Actors like Sunny Leone, Manchu Lakshmi, and recently Nayanatara had kids through this surrogacy. Marking the same, a section of people claimed on social media that Ram Charan and Upasana are set to have their first kid through surrogacy.
But finally, Ram Charan gave clarity on it. In a recent interview, where he was seen along with Upasana, the actor said that it’s his luck to have Upasana and also a five-and-a-half-month-old child in his life. He said ‘She is my lucky mascot. Moreover, I am also lucky to have a five-and-a-half-month-old child growing in her womb,’ said Ram Charan.
This video was posted on Upasana’s Instagram account. Hence, Ram Charan’s statement that ‘five and a half months baby is in her womb’ put a check on all the surrogacy rumors.
