Sankranthi is the favorite festival, especially for movie lovers as all Industry biggies aim for this slot. But this year, even February is coming with a bang with more than 7 big films, including Samantha’s “Shankuntalam”. Not only this, even March and April are gonna come with Nani’s “Dasara” and Akhil’s “Agent”, making the first quarter of 2023, a star-studded affair.
This Sankranti, Balayya is coming first with “Veera Simha Reddy” on January 12th along with Dil Raju produced “Varisu” starring Thalapathy Vijay. The next day, Chiranjeevi’s “Waltair Veerayya” is going to hit the screens. Sudheer Babu’s “Hunt” will end the January chapter. February is no less than the Sankranthi bonanza. “Shankuntalam”, Star heroine Samantha’s next with acclaimed director Gunashekar is coming on 17th February. Dil Raju bagged the distribution rights continuing his high from Varisu. Other films releasing in February are “Michael”, “Bedurulanka 2012”, “Amigos”, “Ant-Man”, “Das Ka Dhamki”, “Sir” and “ “Vinarobhagyamu Vishnukatha” with the last four releasing on the 17th of February, a crowded date indeed.
March will be dominated by Nani with his “Dasara”. In April, Ravi Teja will look forward to continuing his hit streak with “Ravanasura”. Prashanth Varma’s “Hanuman” will release on the 5th of April. 14th of April is again crowded as Rajnikanth is releasing “Jailer” and Akhil is coming with his action flick “Agent” along with Lawrence’s “Rudhrudu”.
All in all, the film industry is starting 2023 with a bang and hopes to continue the same throughout the year.
