Toby starring Raj B Shetty released last month received positive acclamation. The film which was released in Kannada original version on August 25 is now gearing up for its release in Kerala. The makers are planning to release the movie on September 22 under Dulquer Salmaan’s production banner.
Toby is the directorial debut for Basil Alchalakkal, a long-time associate for the actor Raj B Shetty. Basil talking about the film explained it is an organic extension of what he’s been doing for years. Raj and Basil knowing each other for a long time talked about how they wanted to make a movie without having any prior knowledge about the movie.
Raj B Shetty talks about embracing the aspect of a mute protagonist as one of its major highlights and how the challenge of expressing emotions with facial gestures, sounds, and body language appealed to him becoming an experiment in presenting the same as a protagonist.
Toby directed by Basil Alchalakkal stars Raj B Shetty and Chaithra J Achar in the lead roles and has music by Rorschach-fame Midhun Mukundan and cinematography by Pravin Shriyan. The movie is all set to release in Malayalam language on September 22.
