Energetic Star Ram Pothineni is trying his luck in a pure mass genre with The Warrior movie after striking gold through Puri Jagannadh’s Ismart Shankar. Directed by Lingusamy, the film will see Ram in the role of a cop for the first time in his career. Krithi Shetty stars alongside Ram in the role of Radio Jockey. According to trade sources, the movie completed the censor formalities and received a U/A certificate. The runtime of the film is locked at 02 hours 35 minutes and 07 seconds. According to the sensor talk, the screenplay is racy and the movie is fast-paced. It’s interesting to note that this film is the first in RaPo’s career to release as a bilingual film. The movie is hitting the silver screens this Thursday, i.e, July 14th in Telugu and Tamil languages.
Maker Srinivasa Chitturi is making sure that the film will see a grand release. Just in the USA, The Warrior going to play on more than 280 plus screens with Telugu and Tamil language versions. As Ram is eyeing for a mass star image, he has a line-up of directors like Boyapati Sreenu, Harish Shankar, and Puri Jagannadh. While he is already shooting for Boyapati’s film, Harish and Puri’s film scripts are yet to be locked. Ram has tried for mass star image too early in his career and was outright rejected by the audience. But with Ismart Shankar, he is now accepted in such roles. RaPo is quick to grasp the opportunity and made sure that all his next movies are all going to be in the mass commercial genre. Puri is currently busy with Jana Gana Mana with Vijay Deverakonda and will be back with Ram as soon as that shoot completes, say the inside sources.
