The same problem repeats for Pawan’s BRO.

Power star Pawan Kalyan is one of the heroes with an unstoppable market in Telugu. He has a craze that has nothing to do with hits and flops. ‘Gabbar Singh’ has proved that Pawan’s following has remained intact despite not having a single hit for ten years. After that, even though pirated copies were released before the film’s release, ‘Attarintiki Daredi’ became an industry hit. Even after that, regardless of the talk, Pawan’s movies are getting huge openings even in hostile box office conditions.

Even if they are remakes of movies like ‘Vakeel Saab’ and ‘Bheema Nayak’, those films, too, got a good buzz. The initial collections were good for them. And it’s why producers feel it is a great blessing that Pawan allowed them to make a film. However, it is becoming a problem as they are paying him beyond the limit, and the budget is increasing despite spending less on production.

Pawan is getting a remuneration of not less than Rs. 50 crore from ‘Vakeel Saab’. And if the remunerations of the other artists and technicians are included, the cost there is up to Rs. 70–75 crores. Even though the production cost is 25–30 crores, the budget exceeds Rs. 100 crores.

However, despite the consecutive remakes, they are doing well because of Pawan’s craze. Producers investing 100 crores are selling films at tremendous rates, aiming to make 20–30 crores of profit from them. The theatrical business itself is looking to cross Rs. 100 crore.

Due to the impact of Corona and the reduction in ticket prices in AP, the recovery of ‘Vakeel Saab‘ and ‘Bheemla Naik’ has been dramatically affected. Even though the films got good talk and openings, in the end, they did not break even in some areas. Now it seems that the same situation will happen in the case of ‘Bro’. People’s Media, which got considerable remuneration for Pawan for this movie, is trying to sell the theatrical rights at a rate of over Rs. 100 crore. But it has less buzz compared to Pawan’s last two films. Moreover, once again, in AP, this movie may face ticket price issues. With this, buyers are afraid again, as they are worried about what kind of result it gets at the box office.
