His performance as a military officer in the ”Uri: The surgical strike” directed by Aditya Dhar established him as a leading actor and won him the national award for best actor. He earned critical acclaim for his portrayal of freedom fighter Udham Singh in ”Sardar Udham”. He appeared in the comedy thriller Govinda Naam Mera and received mixed reviews. Despite having only one super hit he can be Bollywood’s next superstar.
