Apart from Dhruva Natchathiram, Vikram is also gearing up for the release of Thangalaan, directed by Pa Ranjith. Expected to hit screens in April, the film features an ensemble cast that includes Pasupathy, Malavika Mohanan, and Parvathy Thiruvothu.
As anticipation mounts, audiences eagerly await further updates and an official confirmation of the release dates. Dhananjayan, the CEO of production banner Studio Green, opened up about the Thangalaan release plans. Interestingly, the producer revealed that the makers plan to release the highly anticipated Chiyaan Vikram starrer only after the 2024 elections.
Dhananjayan also confirmed that the entire production of Thangalaan, including the re-recording and dubbing works, has been finished. Dhananjayan feels that the whole focus of people will be on the elections for at least the next few months. He feels it is safe to release the Pa. Ranjith directorial after the elections, as it will help the promotions and get more reach.
However, the team fears that the elections might negatively impact the film’s performance at the box office. From this statement, it is safe to assume that Pa. Ranjith’s film deals with a compelling topic that is relevant in today’s socio-political scenario.
