If rumour are to be true the much-awaited shoot of Thalapathy Vijay’s next with director Lokesh Kanagaraj is all set to begin this month. According to latest buzz is that the puja session will be held on December 5. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj had earlier revealed that the shoot for the film was expected to begin in December and that he was busy with the pre-production work.
Tentatively being referred to as Thalapathy67, is likely to have South Queen Trisha as the leading lady. If Trisha comes on board, the film will mark the reunion of the hit duo of Ghilli, Tirupaachi, Aathi and Kuruvi, after a long hiatus of 15 years.
The reports also revealed that the director will made a promotional video of small length as he did for the Vikram starring Ulaganayagan Kamal Hassan. However, an official confirmation is awaited on the aforesaid news.
Meanwhile, there are many speculations that on the role of antogonist in the film. Some of them are Sanjay Dutt, Vishal, Navin Pauly, Mathew Thomas, Arjun Sarja and named to a few.
Currently Vijay is busy with the final works of his Pongal release Varisu which is directed by Vamshi Paidpally. While the shoot for the film has been wrapped up, the team is currently shooting the songs and soon pre-production work will begin.
As the film is releasing for Pongal, it will clash with Ajith’s heist thriller Thunivu, which is helmed by H Vinoth and bankrolled by Boney Kapoor. It’s been a while since films of both actors hit screens at the same time, and fans are eagerly awaiting the clash. Though both films are slated for Pongal release, and these two were clash with Telugu biggie films Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya and Balakrishna’s Veerasimha Reddy.
Already the pre- release business of Varisu collects huge price mark. And interestingly the Thalapathy67 post theatrical rights reserved by Netflix for 160 crores nearly though thr film not started yet.
