SUGA’s legal name is Min Yoon-Gi, aged 30, and he’s already one masterpiece of an artist. He’s a South Korean rapper, songwriter, and record producer. Moreover, he’s also widely known to be a part of the Korean boy band BTS since 2013.
Agust D was his debut solo mixtape that was released in 2016, then re-released in 2018, making room in Billboard’s World Albums Chart at number three in 2020. This marathon became a routine for him. His second solo mixtape, D-2. reached number 11 on the US Billboard 200.
That’s enough achievement by the age of 30, right? SUGA wanted more. He’s the songwriter and producer of over 100 songs. We struggle to remember the lyrics of more than 20 songs and this Korean superstar has written more words than we speak. What a proud moment for the SUGA squad!
With this, he decided to make 2023 his year as well. Recent tea is, that he became the first soloist to chart for 3 consecutive weeks on US Billboard 200. According to this tweet, he was No.1 as a songwriter, No.7 as a producer, and No.13 in Artists 100 for 3 weeks. Last week, he was on No.2.
