Bang Chan is one of the members of the K-pop boy band Stray Kids. Korean boy band formed by JYP Entertainment through the 2017 reality show of the same name. The group is composed of eight members: Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N.
Stray Kids leader Bang Chan held his live broadcast on YouTube on May 14 following the completion of the group’s performance at the 2023 Music Bank in Paris event where Bang Chan shared that he felt as though the younger generation finds it okay to not reply to greetings or ‘not care’ about basic manners as much.
Bang Chan didn’t mention anyone’s name but fans started speculating names and directed their hate towards the IVE girl group, one of the performers at Paris Music Bank.
Soon the matter became bigger when the internet was flooded with hate comments for Bang Chan.
To clear the misunderstandings, Bang Chan issued an apology on Instagram with a note “Hello, this is Bang Chan from Stray Kids.
I apologize for the offense caused by the comments I made during a recent live broadcast…..
Soon after his apology, the star’s fans came in support saying he need not apologize as he was just talking about the respect expected from Junior K-Pop Idols.
