International Film Festival aims to provide a common platform for the cinemas of the world to project the excellence of film art every year. This time, South Indian films are dominating the festival.

International Film Festival of India features many South Indian movies in its flagship category, Indian Panorama, ranging from Rishab Shetty’s Kantara to Tovino Thomas’ 2018. South Indian films are part of the Indian Panorama 2023 category for the 54th IFFI.

The International Film Festival of India occurs every year, invariably towards the end of November, between Nov 20 and Nov 28. The festival is an excellent opportunity to watch a variety of films from around the world, but also to showcase our regional cinema to a larger, broader audience.

South Indian films from Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada industries, including some famous ones like Rishab Shetty’s Kantara, Tovino Thomas’ 2018, Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan II, and Vetrimaaran’s Viduthalai are dominating the Bollywood films.
