On the occasion of Sivakarthikeyan’s birthday, the makers of his upcoming film revealed that the title of SK 21 is Amaran. The film will have the actor play the role of Major Mukund Varadarajan, the leader of the Indian Army’s 44th Rashtriya Rifles Cheetah Company in Jammu and Kashmir.
The teaser shows Sivakarthikeyan as the late Indian Army officer- Major Mukund Varadarajan, who led the Indian Army’s 44 Rashtriya Rifles Cheetah Company. As the battle against terrorism intensifies, Major prepares his men for the risky big battle.
Talking about the title, the director of the film shared, “AMARAN, அமரன் is the first word that I wrote for the screenplay of this film as the title. It means Immortal, Warrior and Godly! At this moment, I’d like to thank Director K. Rajeshwar, sir, for magnanimously agreeing to give us this nostalgic title. Thank you, sir. Means a lot to me! Sai Pallavi plays the female lead in Amaran, marking her first collaboration with Sivakarthikeyan. Amaran has music by GV Prakash . The cinematography for the film will be handled by Ch Sai, with R Kalaivanan as the editor. Once it finishes its run in theatres, Amaran will stream on Netflix. However, a release date has yet to be announced.
