Sidharth Malhotra reacts to Shershaah winning an award

Sidharth Malhotra as Army officer Captain Vikram Batra in the biographical film Shershaah was met with critical acclaim. The actor playing as Vikram Batra has justified his role for the love of his life and love for his country. The film went on to bag special jury award at the 69th National Film Awards.

The film starring Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani as the main leads received the prestigious Special Jury Award at the National Film Awards. Producer Karan Johar was presented at the ceremony yesterday to accept the award. Karan Johar also took to his social media handles writing a heartfelt note on winning a National Award.

Sidharth Malhotra also took to his Instagram expressed, “Special Jury Award at the 69th National Film Awards for #Shershaah! The award received today is a tribute to hard work, determination, and patriotism. Its significance will remain etched in my heart forever. Deep gratitude and respect to my entire team, and above all, to you for your constant support.”

The actor also said in one of his interviews that, “My portrayal of late captain Vikram Batra, has been inspiring and satisfying. We are forever grateful to the Batra family for trusting us with their family’s story. I would love to celebrate this award with the entire team of Shershaah for their endless hard work and effort.”
