Shakuntalam gets postponed again.

Tollywood leading lady Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Dev Mohan starrer Shaakuntalam is an adaptation from internationally acclaimed Kalidasa’s Sanskrit play Abhijnana Shakuntalam set to release in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada on February 17. Interestingly the film is released in 3D effect.

As per the latest updates, we have a piece of confirmed news on the movie’s postponement. The Production house SVC banner itself confirmed the movie’s postponement. They will announce another release date soon.

The plot of Shaakuntalam revolves around the epic love story of Shakuntala and King Dushyant from Mahabharata, portrayed by Samantha and Dev, respectively. These lead pair were last seen in Samantha’s Yashoda. The film’s release date was November 4, 2022. But for some reason, the release was postponed several times, and Sam suffers from a rare disease.

The makers unveiled the first motion poster of the film on September 23. The poster put the audience in shock and mesmerized, raising their enthusiasm and expectations to watch this upcoming mythological drama on the silver screen.

Supremely proficient director Gunasekhar is the director for this love tail. The cast includes Sachin Khedekar Kabir Bedi, Dr. M. Mohan Babu Prakash Raj, Madhubala, Gautami, Aditi Balan, Ananya Nagalla, and Jisshu Sengupta in pivotal roles. Icon Star Allu Arjun’s daughter Allu Arha portrays the role of Prince Bharata.
