Shahid Kapoor tells the South of India to accept Hindi films

Actor Shahid Kapoor, who will be next seen in director Ali Abbas Zafar’s action film Bloody Daddy, sent a plea to the Southern part of India. With this, he has paved the way to create a cohesion that breaks all barriers. He says that Bollywood has made commendable action films and regardless of which India Cinema branch it came from, movies like RRR and KGF, the Hindi-speaking population has showered it with immense love. Shahid feels that the pattern should now flow the other way around and savor the overflowing talent that’s present, so we all as Indians can collectively share and enjoy the work of entertainment beyond the boundaries of language and culture.

Shahid explains the downfall of Bollywood in recent times. “I think our Hindi action films had slowed down during COVID-19 because filmmakers in our country prefer and enjoy International travel and genres along the line. Abroad filming had become impossible. So, those two years that went down the drain, its aftermath will last for three to four years.

On the other side, action films like Pathan, Tiger 3, are trying their best to bring the exposure of Bollywood back on track. Actors like Salman, SRK, Akshay, Vidyut Jammwal, Hrithik Roshan among others are the backbone of the Indian action films’ success globally.

He then says, “I say this for the South Indian audience, kindly watch Hindi films, because the Hindi audience has already accepted your movies with open arms. If you do it too, that’s when Cinema will grow. That sense of acceptance should be from all corners of India towards each other.”
