The 31-year-old singer and actress, Selena Gomez, shared a lovely photo of herself and Taylor Swift at the MTV Video Music Awards on Tuesday with the message, “She looks stunning I look constipated.”
On her Instagram Story, she commented, “Typical,” in reference to the picture of Gomez and Swift, 33, talking while embracing.
However, it was a successful night for the two close friends, with Swift taking home nine accolades, including the coveted Video of the Year award for “Anti-Hero.” With Nigerian artist Rema, Gomez took up the prize for best afrobeats for their song “Calm Down.”
The singer was seen leaping up and down, cheering, and blowing kisses to her bestie as Gomez ascended the stage with Rema to accept the prize. Swift was clearly Gomez’s biggest fan.
“Thank you,” Gomez said to the crowd. “I want to thank Rema so much for picking me to be a part of such an amazing song that has been able to break records and for believing in me. We appreciate your listening and streaming, everyone. I feel incredibly honoured. And I want to thank you for sending all of my love to Nigeria.
