Satyaprem Ki Katha released on Thursday theatrically has some great reviews on opening day but failed to collect the expected number on the early box office charts. Accordingly, the Film collected 9.2 crores net on the first day which is a decent number.
The film was off to a slow start at the box office. On the second day, the movie earned around 6.3 crores. Despite the low numbers in the first half, Film was expected to see a rise in numbers on the occasion of Eid followed by the weekend.
The movie has positive talk from fans and the audience. Both the actors also received a lot of appreciation for their performances. The film starts with introducing Satyaprem aka Sattu(Kartik Aryan) pursuing Katha(Kiara Advani) for marriage which happens after a while and the duo starts experiencing difficulties together.
However, it is up to the fans in boosting the revenue of the film and maintains the box office over the weekend. If the Weekend collections steep the expected bar it can go up to 50 crores just in a day. Directed by Sameer Vidwans, the film is a romantic love story and family entertainer with Kartik Aryan and Kiara Advani as leads along with Supriya Pathak, Gajraj Rao, Rajpal Yadav, Siddharth Randheria, Anuradha Patel, Shikha Talsania in supporting roles.
