Since yesterday Samantha’s Yashoda has been creating a storm at the Tollywood Box-office. Samantha Ruth Prabhu delivers a knockout performance in this thriller, playing a role that’s hard to guess for the most part.
The film was released on November 11 and is garnering a lot of applause. After many days, a female-centric film is performing in a great way in Tollywood.
Interestingly, Yashoda bagged a fabulous pre-release business of around Rs 55 crore and now the film emerged as a winner on the box-office. According to trade reports, Yashoda had an overall 29.98 per cent Telugu occupancy while 6.39 per cent for Hindi on Friday, November 11.
Yashoda earned 3.20 Cr India net on its first day for all languages,” trade reports suggested. Meanwhile, in Nizam alone the movie earned Rs 1.40 cr gross, the sources added.
Even in the USA, the film had phenomenal openings, proving Samantha’s range.
Directed by Hari Shankar-Harish Narayan, the film features Unni Mukundan, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Sampath Raj, Shatru, Madhurima, Kalpika Ganesh, Divya Sripada, Priyanka Sharma in key roles.
