Samantha Ruth Prabhu was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition that is caused due to inflammation in the muscles called Myositis. Last year, she often shared health updates and her journey since the diagnosis on social media.
The Kushi actress is on and off myositis treatment between busy shoots and has spoken about being diagnosed with Myositis. She said it is probably the worst thing to happen to someone. Now, the actress is on board as the Brand Ambassador of Myositis India to spread awareness in India. She never leaves an opportunity to put her power to empower and inspire others.
Sam shared the news on her Instagram handle; she posted a pic clarifying her association with the notable doctor Dr. Rohit Aggarwal from the University of Pittsburgh to raise awareness about Myositis in India.
She will be next seen in the most anticipated romantic drama Kushi, with Vijay Devarkonda and helmed by Majili fame Shiva Nirvana. The film was already received positive response from the audiences and is scheduled to hit the theatres on 1st September
