Now the film is again in the headlines for its new business strategy overseas. Generally, distributors follow two methods, either distributing the film or buying the film for the concerned region. But this upcoming movie Salaar is said to have started a new style that would not put a burden on either distributors or producers.
As per this new strategy, the distributors need not pay big amounts in advance. However, they have to put some amount as capital and take some commission. As the distributors and producers would know the business the film generates, they share money based on that. Producers get an amount based on the business.
With this, the advantage is that producers and distributors would not face any issues and losses as the distributors will not pay hefty amounts in advance and they will be saved by getting some amount as commission. However, we have to see how this is going to work out.
